My mind is swirling after attending an online blogging seminar last week. The His Girls Online Summit Bootcamp taught me so much about blogging, creating content, producing products and being available for God to use. So, I have been thinking about ministry, writing, blogging and serving God. I can’t seem to change gears and write a normal blog post.
For the very few of you who have been consistent readers (hi Mom), I thought I’d put together a few thoughts on where this blog might be headed. I’d love to hear your feedback.
I believe God can use me to reach others. Even with all my faults, and all the other amazing blogs and content out there, God can bring certain people to come across content he has led me to write, to accomplish his bigger purposes.
I want to serve people and help them grow in the Lord through deeper study of the Bible.
A little to my surprise, I’m having fun blogging! My original goal was to build a platform to gain a publisher and write print Bible studies. But I can get my content, ideas and message out in a much more relaxed fashion, in a fraction of the time by blogging. I love making the graphics and art you see on the site. I certainly didn’t expect this added bonus.
I have several BIG ideas for products I want to develop that will offer some creative and meaningful ways to study God’s word. I am so excited to explore these ideas and pull together some creative, beautiful and valuable items for you to use in your study of the Bible.
I will start emailing a newsletter periodically as well. Right now I have a whole 7 people signed up for my list! And I think 2 of them are ones I used to test the system. So I will be working on building that list and communicating with my readers. It is an exciting time for me and I’m so glad you are reading along.
If you like what you see here, I’d love to have your support and help. Here are a few ways you can help.
1. Tell me what you want to know, ask questions, suggest topics. I’d love for this blog to be a go-to resource for you.
2. Connect with me on social media. When I post something you like, share it with your followers.
3. Facebook is a little frustrating in that even if you have liked my page, you may not see my posts. They want me to pay them to promote my posts. If you want to always see what I post, find the Following button (next to the Like Page button), hover over the down arrow and click on See First. That will make sure you aren’t missing anything.
4. Pray for me. A heavy responsibility falls on those who presume to teach and I take that seriously. I would so appreciate your prayers.
Do you have any ideas for topics you’d like to see covered or types of posts you like?
